Hydraulic Shop

Riggs CAT has the capacity to repair, refurbish, or rebuild all types of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. In addition, we service hydraulic pumps, motors, and cylinders of all brands of construction, agriculture, and industrial machinery. Our experienced technician staff is Caterpillar trained capable of servicing most hydraulic components.

Parts
We carry and have access to a comprehensive inventory of hydraulic parts for all makes and models.

Hydraulic Cylinders
We have four rebuild benches in our Little Rock operation and single benches in Fort Smith and Springdale. We light hone all cylinders up to 13" diameter and 16' in length. In conjunction with our machine shop we can build cylinders. Riggs maintains an extensive inventory of standard and metric rod and tube stock to manufacture replacement cylinders or parts. Our rod stock is of the highest quality material with minimum yield strength of 100,000 pounds.

Hydraulic Pumps and Motors
Riggs has two hydraulic pump rebuild stations manned by trained and highly experience technicians. We can build most brands of pumps and motors found in the industry.

Hydraulic Testing
All components that Riggs CAT rebuilds or refurbishes are tested. We will not send a cylinder, pump, or motor back to the field without first being performance tested. We pressure test hydraulic cylinders at normal system pressure - not just testing the seal. Our pump and motor test bench allows us to simulate machine or system operations and functions.

Contamination Control
Our Little Rock Hydraulic facility is climate controlled to minimize the opportunity for contamination. With the current sophisticated hydraulic systems that are designed with ultra - tight design specifications, any intrusion by contaminates can cause catastrophic failures or greatly reduce system life. We have stringent standards of cleanliness that we adhere to in order to minimize with the intent to eliminate component killing contaminates.
